Status Checker Updates, UVA and WUSTL Forum

I went complete at UVA a little over a week ago. Upon visiting their status checker around noon today, I discovered a new completion date of... today. I haven't sent them anything new. Anyone have any idea what this means?

Something similar happened for WUSTL; I went complete after calling on the 27th (she did it while we were on the phone), and went complete again on Friday.

Typical for UVA. I'm more worried that I haven't gone complete a second time after my first complete-date on 1/6. No idea about WUSTL, but probably the same.

Same thing here. I wish they'd just leave the damn date alone if they have no intention of doing anything with my file

So was the 1/29 update your second File Complete update at WUSTL? So was the 1/29 update your second File Complete update at WUSTL? Yeah, 1/27 was the first. I got impatient after submitting 2 weeks before and called their office. The woman who helped me verified that they had received everything and then went ahead and set my status to complete while I spoke with her. It reset to complete on 1/29.

From my understanding of what I've read on these boards, the second File Complete seems like a decision but no telling when you be notified of it. If it's and acceptance, it could be pretty soon. If it's not, it may not be until April until you find out if you've been rejected or waitlisted because WUSTL didn't notify those individuals until April last year. So I say, if you make it into mid March without hearing anything else, it's a good possibility that you may not receive an acceptance. Just my take on things but I could be completely wrong.

Not you, just in general, they have been putting tons of people on the waitlist this cycle. I still have yet to hear from them, but fear the WL.

On the WUSTL thread, everyone that had received a third File Complete update received an e-mail that day with an acceptance. Last years numbers on LSN shows that no one received a rejection/wl before April 1st.

Not you, just in general, they have been putting tons of people on the waitlist this cycle. I still have yet to hear from them, but fear the WL.[/quote]

Ah. I agree, it's the most likely scenario, they're getting tons of guaranteed matriculants via ED.
