Fulbright Grant Finalist

Post by fsugirl824 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 7:25 pm

Should I write to the law schools I applied to with an addendum? The Fulbright is prestigious and might help, or might hurt because it means I'll have to apply for a deferral.

I would appreciate any advice!

There was a thread on this yesterday, the consensus was DON'T

If you ultimately get the Fulbright then it says "Don't accept me, I'll wouldn't go anyway"

If you don't get in it says "Hey I wasn't good enough to get the Fulbright anyway"

That's what I heard anyway...

I doubt it would ever give a positive spin to your application.

Thank you for your response! I realized that someone asked the same question right after I posted. Sorry!
