Rutgers Admissions - gpa/lsat focus or alternative focus?

Post by jengaroo » Sat Jan 30, 2010 6:27 pm

Hi all,

Curious if you think I should apply to Rutgers with the focus on lsat/gpa or the alternative (professional accomplishments, etc.)?

LSAT
154
159

GPA
u: 3.4
g: 3.6

Top public school
3 years experience, strong softs and recommendations

Your recommendation and logic behind it would be very helpful. Thanks!

Without knowing more about your professional accomplishments, it's impossible to say. Everyone thinks their softs are strong. Your numbers are borderline for Rutgers.

I have very similar numbers to yours, 3.37/158. I applied ro Rutgers with the option of more emphasis on LSAT/GPA, although I, too, had 3 yrs. WE and got admitted, so I'd say you're in good shape either way. Good luck.

Could someone explain the whole focus thing to me?

Thanks all. My softs are strong (even though everyone thinks that) and I think I will go with the focus on LSAT and GPA. Thanks for your thoughts.
