GPA for your Major

Post by stinestine » Fri Jan 29, 2010 3:42 am

I know that law schools place great importance on your overall GPA, but do your minor and major GPA ever come into account?

Nope, only overall GPA counts. Major GPA only counts more if you're applying to grad schools in your major, like for PhD programs.

I highly doubt it. And if they do, I think the level of importance for each factor is as follows:

LSAT>>>>GPA>URM>>>>>>>>>>>>UG Institution>LORs>>PS>>Resume>>UG major>>>>>>>>>>>>>>hair color/eye color/others things that don't matter>>>upward GPA trend>>>>>>major and minor GPA.
