LOR recommender access to transcript? Forum

I have recently just been asked by my recommender to draft my own LOR

I want to take full advantage of this opportunity to comment on my upward grade trend/growth, which would then require my recommender to have access to my academic history/transcripts

my question:
do recommenders regularly have access to this information?

- In my initial LOR request, I gave my recommender a copy of my transcript

did i just answer my own question? or were my actions unorthodox anyway?

LOL, I think it's pretty transparent if your "recommender" comments on your upward grade trend. I would just count on the adcom to see that for themselves.
