Minor bump in the road? (Transcript question)

Post by LessThanLiz » Wed Jan 27, 2010 9:32 pm

Hey,

I've had to wrestle a bit with my registrar's office to get my transcripts out. As of the 22nd, I've been told by both institutions (I transferred from one to the other) that my transcripts are out the door and are accompanied by the LSAC cover sheet.

Every other part of my applications has been submitted. I am pretty sure they [transcripts] will arrive before the Feb. 1st deadlines but my question is this: am I completely out of the game if my transcripts are processed by LSAC later than that date? I'm going to be super pissed if random registrar nonsense/delays blocks me from some of these law schools.

You could be. LSAC took a week to process my transcript from the day they received it, and they tell you to expect 7-14 days. You're supposed to be complete by the app deadline and could be SOL if you're not.
