What LSAT score should I aim for?? (Gtown, UCLA, USC, etc.)
I have a 3.86 UGPA (BSBA Mktg., Univ. of Florida) ... I have applied to Gtown, UCLA, USC, Vandy, Emory, BU, BC, GW, and a few others. I have been scoring between 166 and 170 on my practice tests consistently. I am late in the cycle (taking the 2/6 LSAT) and I know I won't even see that score until March 1st. This means I won't go complete until at least 3/10. I believe this will make my attempt to gain entry into these schools somewhat more difficult. I have my heart set on UCLA/USC and would like to know what type of score I would need to be strongly considered for entry into either of those schools. Any suggestions on scores needed for the rest would be equally appreciated. Thank you in advance if you choose to share some suggestions/ranges.

Is it imperative you go in 2010? And is that your LSDAS GPA? With that GPA, I'd say wait, study, score 175 and enjoy Harvard/Stanford on down...

I agree that you ought to wait. Your GPA is excellent, but you are applying incredibly late in the cycle. I really don't think that a 170 would cut it at the school(s) of your choice.

Yea, seriously, going in aiming to miss questions is a losing strategy...jmaan wrote:i dont see the point in this question....aim for 180

Aim for 180; what would Urban Meyer do?
Take a year off- you get the added bonus of waiting out the recession another year.

Without a doubt, I am aiming for a perfect score. Let me rephrase my topic question. What score, along with with a 3.86 GPA, would gain me admission (strong consideration) to the programs I mentioned above. Thank you to all those who have contributed thus far.

This late in the cycle, it's hard to predict. However, with a 3.86/171 you could get into all of MVP. With a 175 you could seriously have a shot at H or S and are probably in at CCN. Your GPA is awesome, do not waste it. Study, wait a year, and apply everywhere next September.dsglad wrote:Without a doubt, I am aiming for a perfect score. Let me rephrase my topic question. Good to see another gator on this board. I have a 171/3.8 and am graduating in May with degree in Business General Studies. I would think for those schools and this late i would aim right around 168 and you should be able to get at least one of those schools to bite. PM me if you have any other questions. And GO GATORS.

A 168 is definitely doable. That's encouraging. Thank you. With your stats as good as they are, what school's did you apply to / get accepted by? Do you know where you're going yet?
Thanks.
Thanks.
