Employment History Question
If a place for which you used to work is now out of business, is there any way for someone to determine the nature of your separation from that job?

Re: Employment History Question
So were you fired and wondering if anyone will be able to find out?
With enough effort, sure someone could find out. The business is gone, but there are still people who know. The easiest way to find out is to ask you.
My guess is that you are filling out an app that asks for the reason you left the job. I'd put "employment no longer mutually desired," and if anyone asks, tell them the truth. There are ways to make a firing sound not so bad.
