working for Census in interim between Law School?
Its part time work and they're hiring a bunch. I thought it would be interesting and flexible enough to allow me to focus on apps. I have a strong record otherwise though (4.0 LSDAS and 170) might schools think I spent my interim time underachieving? In other words, can working for something like the census in my situation might come off as someone who doesn't have a tremendous work ethic and chose an easy way to spend his time?

Only if you tell them it's part time.
