Send in Updated Transcript Now? Or Later?

Post by mi-chan17 » Sat Jan 23, 2010 2:55 pm

I am currently held/deferred at UMich and Cornell, and so I plan on sending them updated transcripts (my cum GPA went up, not by much, but still up). I'm hesitating because fall grades have not yet been processed by the individual colleges at my university, so the Dean's List awards have not yet been posted on our transcripts.

I was on Dean's List last semester with the exact same semester GPA, so I know that I will be on again this year. My question is whether I should wait until my college has had the time to process my fall grades and note the Dean's List on my transcript or if I should just send in the updated transcript now (and hope that I don't get WL/rejected in the meantime)?

Send them in now. A GPA increase is much better than any Dean's List notation. You can always send another one later when Dean's List posts.
