Still waiting.. would be nice to hear back seeing as how classes start in 2 months and all..(It is also my top choice and my job is attempting to coordinate hiring my replacement which is tough when I don't know when I am starting law school)

It's my top choice too. In order to give my company enough notice to replace me, I've got to resign now, even though I may not start school until the Fall if I don't get into Cardozo, or if I decide to take a scholly at another school. Not that I'd mind having the summer off, but I'd prefer to know what I'd doing before I give up my job this early.

I was admitted March 11 via phone call from a 212 area code. The largest admitted student day is this thursday (which I can't attend :( ) . There are two more sneak peek events on April 14th, and another one in may.

The first and second deposit is due next friday the 26th, so for those who are waiting for a decision, there should be more spots open when people don't put down money and you'll hear soon.

I live on the West coast and its really nice that they will reimburse for travel expenses. The 2-3 times I've called the admissions office, everyone was nice and helpful.

The only miff I have is Cardozo's law school website is very underwhelming and information deficient. My admissions package was also very unattractive, it was a paper thin package with a small acceptance letter and a 2 page brochure. It makes me feel like the school is really poor or something......

Good luck to everyone else waiting for a decision. Anyone have any info about the Alabama?

Switched my application from May to Fall this morning, after finding out that May students get no merit aid at all. There's no way I would consider paying sticker at Cardozo when I've got good schollys at other schools.

badpixie,
How did you go about switching the application? Through LSAC or Cardozo directly?

Please tell me all you can about the process. Thank you so much!!

I called the admissions department this morning and told the woman who answered that I had submitted an application for the May program, and asked if it was possible to switch my application to the Fall. She said that as long as I hadn't received a decision yet, it wouldn't be a problem. The request needs to be in writing, but an email is sufficient. She told me to send an email, including my name and LSDAS number, stating that I had submitted my application for May but now wish to have my application switched to Fall consideration instead. I received a confirmation a few hours later than my file had been updated, and by late this afternoon, my Status Checker page reflected the change as well.

HTH!!

HTH!!

This helped a lot! Thanks! However, I've already been accepted for their May Program... I'll ask them tomorrow if it's still possible to switch.

All the best.

I read a post earlier from someone who called and was able to switch, even though he had already been accepted to the May program, so you should be OK. He was advised that acceptance to the May program doesn't guarantee acceptance for Fall. Let us know how it goes!

As I have said on other threads, obviously posters are going to more than likely have a bias here, but take a second to check out the above scenario, if you would.

I also changed my application to fall after learning there wasn't any merit aid offered to the May program. I think its dumb not to. I wonder how many are with me on that sentiment. Perhaps this was Cardozo's plan all along - procrastinate on May admissions and force part-timers who wanted a decent time-span and scholarship in making enrollment decisions to switch over to Fall '10 and boost the selectivity rating.
