Scholarship Negotiation

Post by RhodesBwana » Thu Jan 21, 2010 12:55 pm

I've read on this board that you can negotiate with schools about scholarship numbers (Thank you btw, I never knew this before lol). But can you negotiate the strings that are attached to a scholarship? For example I received a scholarship which is contingent on finishing in the top 20% of my class. I won't consider it as it stands now. But can I speak with the school about changing it to top 1/2 or something else? Has anyone had luck in this?

Yes, there are numerous threads explaining successful examples of this.
