Hmmm, maybe make a play?

Post by politics » Wed Jan 20, 2010 7:07 pm

I applied to my #1 choice and am awaiting decision. My numbers are borderline and the school is about 2 hours from where I live. Would there be any benefits to showing up at the school and asking for a tour? or would this be a waste of time?

If you call ahead and sign up for a "tour" you will likely be given the opportunity to sit in on a class and meet with someone in Admissions. I did this at all three of the places I have visited. Just make sure you call ahead. Don't know how much of an impact it will have, but if you make a good impression and express genuine interest it definitely will not hurt.
