NYT Article: Law School "No Longer Their Golden Ticket"

Post by gatorlion » Wed Jan 20, 2010 1:59 am

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/17/fashi ... er.html?em

The NYT takes a swipe at us reverse-splitters:

"In fact, “The Deep End” was conceived in 2007, that halcyon era of $160,000 starting salaries and full employment even for law grads who had scored in the 150s on their LSAT’s."

Not fair!

Sorry, I thought it was funny mainly for the 150s comment. I didn't mean to incite a riot!

Or maybe its just a swipe at people who did poorly on the LSAT.

These articles scared me before.

IBR/LRAP ftw.

Sure that may not be a perfect solution but financial security while engaged in a meaningful career isnt terrible, its just not 120-160k a year.

Ah, I posted this in a thread about that Deep End show ... I quoted that same sentence, because it shocked me.

The article itself may be a downer, but watch the video associated with the article. It's actually fairly uplifting.

Fair enough.
