So I FINALLY got all my fall grades in, and as my GPA is now 0.02 higher, I had my school send a new copy of my transcript into LSAC. Now, I know that LSAC will automatically send out an updated LSAC transcript to all the schools to which I have applied. My question is, should I email the schools individually so that they know that an updated transcript is on its way?

Probably not. I don't recommend any unnecessary "bugging" of admissions offices. Rest assured, if they really want to see your updated transcripts, they will wait for them to come in. Either way, .02 isn't going to make a huge difference.

If you really wanted to, you could email the schools and tell them you will be submitting your fall grades and you would like for them to wait before making a decision. I think if your GPA is only going up .02, it isn't that critical that they see them. I would only email them if you are really trying to show them an upward trend in your GPA. Otherwise, I think you have more to gain by not losing your place in the pile than telling them to wait and potentially losing your spot. I think the 2-3 weeks it takes for LSAC to get your transcript to the schools that you would lose are more valuable than waiting for them to see that your grades are basically the same.

That said, send your grades in ASAP anyway because it could help at any schools where they are holding back on making a decision because you are a borderline candidate. Good luck!

Ugh, that is actually MY position haha. You think that really makes a difference? I'll admit, it sure does look nicer.
