Since it's a three day weekend I thought I might take day trip to go visit UPenn. It's about a 2.5-3.5 hr drive. Classes won't be in session on Monday and the admissions office is closed. Is it still worth it? I called the (very friendly) admissions office and they said they'd leave a self-guided tour for me if I left them my name.
I really like Penn for a number of reasons and would very seriously consider attending over CCN. Part of the reason for my visit would be to try to show them that my interest is sincere. I already turned in my app (and wrote a Why essay), so the only way they would know is if the visit went on my "file" somehow.
Do you think there's any danger of them YPing me, if I wrote a Why Penn? I'm near their 25% with GPA so I didn't think they would, but a LS friend of mine said I should be careful with my 175, since Penn is notorious for YPing (?). (My Why Penn wasn't like, OMG I WILL DO ANYTHING TO GO TO PENN, but it was solid.)

I think visting and chatting with admissions really shows interest, and because you are seriously considering Penn, I'd wait until admissions is back to work.examplepdf wrote:Since it's a three day weekend I thought I might take day trip to go visit UPenn.
