What to do during the waiting game?

Post by nmglaw2010 » Wed Jan 13, 2010 5:39 pm

Hi all,

I have already submitted all of my applications and am in the middle of the nerve-racking waiting period. Does anybody know if any extra steps could help an applicant after the application submission? (i.e. scheduling a meeting with admissions, attending mock classes or information sessions...)

Thanks and good luck to all! :)

Exactly what I'm doing right now, though I'm not sure if I'm in the hundreds yet on the beer.

For me, it's wine. I throw in some beer every once in a while to mix things up, but I mostly stick with wine. And obsessive exercising. I swear, this process is turning me into an actual crazy person. I may have been borderline before, but the waiting is putting me over the edge!

I've got a few admits under my belt but I'm waiting for the rest of the decisions. Its hard for me to concentrate at work anymore. Right now I'm just trying to clear up my long and neglected reading list before law school starts and I have to neglect it again. I'm also trying to learn some basic accounting skills (like how to read a financial statement) ... I figured it might come in handy later on. And finally, I'm on a constant prowl for a date ...

Lets see...
I enjoy a jaguer and 1/2 diet, 1/2 regular Dr. Pepper.
Lots of Wii.
There's some reading happening.
Clearing my internet history before I leave work everyday.
Complaining.

The usual.

Hey hey, not too far off! But since I'm unemployed, I play Guild Wars and take on the occasional temporary job assignment my job agency gives me. Have a 2-day full-time assignment Thursday and Friday.

EDIT: Never was a FPS guy, used to get yelled at for being a nub during my CS:S days.

I'm unemployed myself. Doing a lot of time-intensive cooking. Might take a trip to Toronto because, you know... Toronto.

And I thought waiting for my LSAT score was bad.

I'd spend the next month or two drunk trying to keep my mind off the pending apps, but I have a February retake to prepare for. Then I'll have all of February to worry, too. I don't suppose I'll get any decisions before I get my February score anyway (with the exception of UF, because they don't consider February).

Either way, I'll be happy when March gets here. That's two less months working at my annoying job, spring training, vacation season when my long-lost Midwestern friends come visit, and it should be decision time for most schools. And perfect weather.

Solicit girls at bars, bring them home and kick them out accordingly. Then proceed to turn on my laptop and wank off to some good ol' hentai porn.

Too bad you can't meet cartoon girls at real live bars =(
