GPA Calculation for Resume

Post by billmon » Mon Jan 11, 2010 8:14 pm

Im in an odd spot. My UG doesnt calculate any summer school credits into the GPA. With that said, I had two Bs, one A and one B + that are not factored into my UG GPA. Is it ok to make put on my resume my actual GPA with those grades calculated into as an overall undergraduate GPA and not a specific institutions GPA?

Also, I calculated the GPA, im at a 2.9911, is ok to round that to a 3.00? This is certainly something to address in my addendum right?

Thanks

Don't put your GPA on your resume if it isn't good.

I would go with the LSDAS GPA for your resume, since that's applicable to admissions.

A 2.99xx does not round to 3.00, but you could list it as "3.0/4.0".

shouldn't that be like a 3.3 ish? An A is 4.0, a B+ is 3.5 plus 2 B's, that could even be a 3.5 depending on how many credits each class is.
