San Francisco Chronicle should be abbreviated to S.F. Chron. in the explanatory parenthetical for the source cited in footnote 12. I'm not sure if I hate myself more for noticing that, or for knowing that other law students will probably check to see if I'm right.

This article is likely filled with truth, but couldn't you write a "consider this before choosing to (insert any occupation)"; pointing out the absurb nature of gaining entrance into a particular profession or the ridiculousness of any job in America.

I've never considered myself an idealist per se, though I'd like to think I'm a decent human being. So tell me: am I really that naive for believing that if you choose the right school and have the right level of commitment, you can actually do something good with a law degree? I mean, really? I don't think so. I just think it's necessary to have realistic expectations and focus on the bigger picture.

My favorite part: "After the exam, do not review - or "post-mortem" - the exam with other students. This is very depressing - especially if you can't even agree whether it was a torts exam or a contracts exam".

I laughed out loud.

Also: "The most elitist organization is the law review, which is generally restricted to the top ten percent of the class. These students are given this special honor so that employers will not overlook them just because they are at the top of their class".

I thought this one was pretty great: "Be sure to avoid law schools wit 'Jr.' in the name, such as 'Leland Stanford Jr. Law School.' These are actually junior law schools." Shows the author is truly a Boalt grad
