Now that I'm applying here's what I regret
Thought this would be an interesting idea for a thread. I got the idea from my GF who read something similar on the GMAT forums.
Name three things that you regret now that you've made the decision to apply to law school.
Hypothetical Example:
1) While I overcame cancer through chemotherapy, i regret not actually discovering a CURE for cancer. It would have made a nice soft.
2) After having sex in college, my GPA went down .05 for every sexual partner I had. (this probably didn't hurt the computer science majors as much as others)
3) That skank, Rosa.
Feel free to list more if you like, but i thought 3 was a good number

1) Not majoring in something ridiculously easy and fun.
2) Apparently having sex in high school. I guess hose who started later have a leg up, GPA wise.
3) That bastard, Sean.

Re: Now that I'm applying here's what I regret
1) Getting married (and then divorced).
2) Playing strip-twister until 5 am the night before my PoliSci midterm. That C+ doesn't look good on the transcript.
3) Not learning Russian and moving to Uzbekistan to be a gun smuggler instead of going to law school. It seems like a far less risky prospect these days.

I hope you're an older applicant.Lincoln wrote: FTW
I had trouble affording beer specials in college, let alone a divorce.

1. Not taking huge scholarships to state schools and instead attending a ridiculously expensive private school at full tuition.
2. Jamie, what a waste.
3. Fall of Sophomore year.

Re: Now that I'm applying here's what I regret
It seems like our exes are making a good showing here.
I actually do really regret not taking a major that would have given me a much more interesting and creative undergrad experience. I took the traditional, safe liberal arts route...but I really wished I had been a drama major. My best times in college were in my playwriting and criticism classes.
Wouldn't have stacked up to an engineering major, but my anthropology major certainly isn't giving me a leg up, anyways.

1) Ridiculous drunkenness freshman year
2) Starting undergrad as a biochem major.
3a) Going to the undergrad that gave me the 100% full ride instead of taking out the 8k in loans and choosing the school I actually liked.
3b) that bitch, michelle.

Hahaha I wonder how much they at my GPA explanation that I've matured greatly from that semester sophmore year when I had F,F,D+,C,C. I mean it was way back in 2008! You can't judge me by that.

Re: Now that I'm applying here's what I regret
1) slacking off on my studies junior year and the beginning of senior year
2) getting caught up in a super complicated and ridiculous relationship (this is very connected to #1)
3) not getting involved in more extracurriculars and stuff. applying to law school made me realize that I could have been a lot more involved in campus activities, and it would have both helped my applications and improved my college experience.

3) not studying logic games harder
And if the dog in that 'tar is their pet, then there is at least one winner at life in this thread.

How does waiting for marriage stop you from having a horrible ex?Lonagan wrote: 2) that lousy ex-girlfriend ... wait, I [strike]have a boring sexlife[/strike] am waiting for marriage

And I agree with the second part. What breed is that?
