Made a Stupid Mistake on Submitted Application

Post by lawbound77 » Sun Jan 10, 2010 4:49 pm

I made a really stupid mistake. I dated my certification letter 01/09/09 instead of 01/09/10. So I am a year off. What should I do, should write to the school, call, or forget it? How horrible is this error? Help! I am a nervous wreck already

They won't care. You just did what everyone does at the start of a new year.

If it is going to keep you up at night, you could anonymously call the admissions office and tell them you put the wrong year on your certification letter and if you should send a new one. If they say no big deal, then you're fine. Otherwise, just send a new one.

As far as mistakes go, this is about as benign as they get IMO.
