Re: What should I do?
i can't tell you if its worth the tuition because i don't know your situation, but if you really want berkeley, you're gonna need the GPA boost and an amazing lsat. so study for at least 3 months (everyone else will probably tell you longer) and take a june test so you can retake in september and still apply early if things don't go well the first time around.
the peace corps will help too.

study hard for that LSAT and get a 4.0 next semester (take the easiest classes possible).

based on lawschoolnumbers, if your maximum GPA bump possible is 3.58, even with a stellar (175+) LSAT score Berkeley seems to be unlikely... unless you have URM status or some incredibly strong softs you haven't disclosed. Although I think Peace Corps will definitely help...

Re: What should I do?
I hate to break it to you, but I don't think a 3.58 is going to be enough to get you into Berkeley anyhow. It's not impossible with that GPA, but it is unlikely (although you may have a decent chance with a 170+ and some incredible softs).
I actually think that if you want Berkeley, you'd be better served studying for the LSAT and boosting your softs instead of paying an extra semester's tuition for a minimal GPA boost. That is what I would do if I were in your situation, at least. Good luck to you!

Re: What should I do?
apply ED if you're that heart-set on it, assuming berkeley has that.
