help problem with google

Post by lawschoolgiant » Wed Jan 06, 2010 6:17 pm

Well,

I searched my name on google and it came up on ripoffreport.com. This had nothing to do with me but a terrible company that I worked for. The report isnt terrible, but it does not look good either. What kind of effect will this have on my app? Any advice?

How common is your name? I recently discovered on google that I share a name with a gay porn star, but I don't expect it to hold me back in life.

Is this company on the resume you sent to law schools?

sending apps this week. I was planning on leaving it off. In addition my name is very uncommon. No competition.

They're not going to google you anyway. Even if they were to, what could you do about it? Don't sweat it.

I wouldn't worry, unless maybe the page goes into loving detail about how much you personally suck at everything. That could be cause for concern in general.

I just discovered I share my full name with someone who has my birthday, but was born 141 years earlier. Weird.

I actually loled (does that get conjugated as 'lolled'?). It makes me wish I'd thought to use one of his film titles as my name online. Next time I sign up for something I guess.
