explanatory statement for criminal charges? need some help..

Post by latush » Tue Jan 05, 2010 11:50 pm

what should be included when writing an explanatory statement for criminal charges? all of mine were dismissed and/or expunged except for an alcohol-related MIP i got freshman year..how much detail is needed and how does one head the statement? i have seen several posts asking about a GPA or LSAT addendum, but none thus far regarding criminal offenses...

I just sent mine in yesterday w/ 2 criminal charges on it. You need to be completely honest, and its better to err on more disclosure than less, so even if you were charged with something and it was dropped, mention it (and that it was dropped). You don't need to mention every single detail about the incident...
