No acknowledgment from any school I applied to since 12/29
I took the LSAT for the first time in December. I applied to 2 schools before the test, and one in between taking the test and getting my score. For all three of those schools, I got an e-mail acknowledgment within a day that gave me a link to my status checker.
Since 12/29, I have applied to 4 schools, and so far have gotten no such e-mail from any of them. It could just be because of the holidays, but I thought those e-mails were automated. Is there something LSAC has to do that it's slow in doing to notify the schools that I applied? In other words, is it possible that all of the schools I applied to in the past week have no idea I applied, because LSAC hasn't sent them the info yet? I know they have not sent my LSDAS report, but they hadn't sent those to the first three schools I applied to because I didn't have an LSAT score. So what do you think the hold up is? Is it from the schools or from LSAC?
Also, NYU's application was due 1/1 if you wanted to apply for public interest scholarships. That deadline is based on when you submit the application, right? I won't be disqualified as a result of LSAC being slow, will I?

LSAC was closed until today if you checked their website at all since you've applied. Most admissions offices were also closed until today, so it's unlikely they've requested your report from LSAC yet.

Yeah, but they were supposedly closed when they sent out LSAT scores and sent my reports to UVA and Penn (though oddly not Georgetown until today, and Georgetown was the first one I submitted. I think that has something to do with UVA and Penn taking PDF's but Georgetown wanting paper.)

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. I know some schools I applied to, like Georgetown, it took a long time to hear much from them. I'd email/call NYU, though, to check out their rules for that. Good luck to you! The waiting is most definitely the hardest part of all of this.

UPDATE: I applied to three schools yesterday and have gotten acknowledgment e-mails/status checker logons for all three. But still no word from the 2 schools I applied to between Christmas and New Years. Should I be worried that my application got lost in the shuffle because I submitted it over break? Is it worth calling to confirm that they received it?

I applied to ND on 12/22 and nothing, if that makes you feel better.

We're in the same boat. I too applied to ND around 12/22 and have heard nothing.Cupidity wrote:I applied to ND on 12/22 and nothing, if that makes you feel better.

Just be patient. Certain schools are slower than others and have more applicants than others so it should take time. I'm sure plenty of schools got plenty of applications over the holidays and will need extra time to process them.
