Apply to more schools?
Hey everyone,
167 lsat , 3.2 - 3.4 gpa here wondering whether I should apply to more schools. I am concerned, because of the lack of correspondence I have received from the schools I have already applied to, which are as follows:
Georgetown ED FT: rejected
UMiami: accepted (looking for $$, no email about it though which others have received)
USC
Vanderbilt
Texas
Cornell
UF
FSU
GWU
American
Emory
Wustl
BC
BU
Should I throw an app out to George Mason? Are there other schools I should consider? I am nervous, because while I would be happy with Miami, I do not want to pay full price there. I'm also nervous because some of these schools are decent reaches, and this cycle is very competitive.
I am from South Florida, but I can see myself living happily in most all areas of the country, so location isn't a huge concern. I would prefer to avoid extremely rural or extremely urban (NYC) locations though.

I'd consider William & Mary, Notre Dame, and Minnesota. Our numbers are similar, and all 3 schools gave me $$.

I hear good things about Seattle and UWashington, so I think I'll throw an app out to UWash. I am Jewish and don't think I'd be comfortable attending Notre Dame. Not crazy about William and Mary. I'll give Minn a harder look.

If you look into Minnesota, look into Indiana as well.

I am an auto-reject from Boalt and UCLA from what I understand.
Davis is intriguing. I've heard bad things about Hastings though.

but you have some hope at UCLA
you might want to send apps to schools like Loyola LA and USD and Pepperdine, you have a shot at lots of $$$

You won't hear anything from them unless you are accepted, waitlisted, or rejected.whuts4lunch wrote:I am concerned, because of the lack of correspondence I have received from the schools I have already applied to

Very few rejections have been sent out though, so the no responses feel pretty negative.

Re: Apply to more schools?
If you like DC, definitely apply to George Mason. The application is free (except the $12 LSAC fee), and the tuition there is pretty low, although since you're not a VA resident it's not that low. But it's still cheaper than Georgetown or GW. Also, did you put only full time on your Georgetown application? If so, it might be worth calling them and asking if you can request to be considered for part time.whuts4lunch wrote:Hey everyone,
