Applying w/Early Decision - how much are chances increased?

Post by lawoftheland » Mon Jan 04, 2010 3:24 pm

Topic: ED applications

How much (and in what way) do you think applying ED influences chances for admission? Does an ED app potentially allow a slight GPA or LSAT variance relative to an adcomm's usual guideline/matrix/etc?

If you'd like, post ED acceptances and figures here in order for the rest of us to get an idea of how much this little "wildcard" affects decisions.

Happy new year - hopefully you're not all hungover still.

And at Northwestern, even though the Dean claimed it wouldn't really. Everyone above median in one category at NU got in. Including someone with a 2.1 GPA.
