Is Columbia like the other hidden ones? Mine now has a place to enter a code, but I don't have a code to enter. For Chicago and NYU it just told me I had a waiver.

I have a Penn and Columbia waiver from last cycle that I didn't use after choosing to hold off a year. As they didn't catch me in their CRS search in the last couple of weeks, does anyone know of anyone who has had luck emailing them with a copy of last years waiver and requesting one this year?

Got Columbia hidden waiver as well!

ETA: Got Penn too. Looks like the only one I didn't get was Cornell. Odd but I wasn't planning on applying there anyway.

ETA: Got Cornell in the mail a few weeks later.

You can try, but I heard that Columbia does not really like when people solicit waivers. Also, I tried soliciting from Penn and they told me no, they only give them out via CRS and not when people request so... I don't know if you'll have any luck!

Columbia! A flawless t14 fee waiver cycle (minus HYS of course). Let's hope the same goes for admissions!

They emailed fee waivers the next day last year. So I'd give it another day or two.

I'm pretty sure I haven't got a Columbia one yet either kulshan and we're pretty tight number-wise. Either they aren't done sending them out yet, or they factored out our range. It really is just based on 2 little numbers, so it shouldn't be random. It might be that they can target certain geographic areas/numbers ranges - like say they know that most in your number range don't matriculate even if admitted EXCEPT if they are from New York/New Jersey or something. That might account for some variation.

Sweet! Got Columbia finally...I was afraid they didn't want me :(

So now I have...UVA, Chicago, Columbia, Penn and Duke. Just waiting on Berkeley (dunno if they even give waivers) and NYU.

Also, to clarify: HYS NEVER give out waivers right? So when ppl say they "swept the T14, they mean the 11 schools BESIDES HYS?

Columbia and Penn for me. Still waiting on the solicited Duke waiver. USC emailed me back saying they only offer merit waivers to applicants above both medians.

Edit @ curious1: No fee waivers from Berkeley.

Interesting... I'm currently in the Mountain West, but I went to undergrad in some other region (it seems like different schools carve them up differently... either Midwest or South Central).

Penn no longer hidden: I got the email just now. And apparently there's a package from Wisconsin at my house. Cool cool cool. Everyone but Cornell has decided to save me money.
