Did anyone do their research on Stanford's policies on CRS fee waivers? Is their fee unavoidable $100 is hefty, and even though I got an LSAC fee waiver after an appeal, they don't waive their fee automatically like some other schools.

FWIW, I received the following schools of note, unsolicited: Duke, Columbia, Penn, NYU, Georgetown, UChicago. I've received 35 total to date. This is with a 3.73 GPA + 166 Sept 2014 LSAT. I'm Af-Am, first generation, LGBT.

Hope someone can let me know about Stanford!

Wake Forest, Brooklyn LS, and SUNY-Buffalo sent me fee waivers unsolicited. Wake's fee waiver isn't in my lsac account yet though, I just looked.

How do I know whether a waiver has an expiration date? I've seen some of you mention that UT among others has an expiration, but in the few I have received (UPenn, Duke, Vandy, BU, WF, etc.), none have an expiration date in the body of their email.

Hastings and maybe another has made reference to the waiver being good for the 2014-15 application cycle, but if not otherwise indicated then are all the others good for the whole cycle? I will be retaking December LSAT and so won't apply until January. Thanks.

Email from Cornell (Connie P - Adm coord) three days ago:

"We plan to notify waiver recipients later this week, so if you can hold on that long hopefully it will be worth it!"

New to the fee waiver business. Only unsolicited: william and mary

What can one do to get fee waiver from T14s?

Non-trad, 165, superior

Any harm in soliciting at my numbers and not applying until next cycle?

Is there any typical solicitation email that one should send?

To which schools/emails?

Are these the only t14s that do waivers?

Penn
Northwestern
Mich
Uva
Duke
Cornell
Gulc

It was weird though, it didnt say CRS but instead said an individual fee waiver was applied.

Not complaining.

all do waivers.

Many of them will only do them via CRS not by soliciting.
Which of these will only do unsolicited? I won't solicit them.

This list looks like all except HYSberk

Can soliciting hurt if finally no application?

Just ask for 'm, won't hurt; worst thing that happens is they say no. Nobody will hold that against you, and you can save a good deal of money that way.

Ive successfully solicited MVG, NU gives fee waivers off their site. CCNPC said wait for CRS, and duke was receptive to soliciting and forwarded my request to someone else but I recieved it through CRS before they got back.
