I mean...I think it's a good offer, and it's fun! My library does need some updating, but the $25 LSAC fee cancels it out

Yeah same thoughts here. 100 bucks is too steep for a negotiation school in my case. Still one I wanted to cover though. I'll give them a few weeks and ask again politely. If no waiver then, they will likely be dropped.AT9 wrote:I got the same response...and I even tried to pull the alum card. Granted, I'm not above their 75th's. But apparently my co-worker successfully solicited one in the last week or so (URM, 161/3.6 or 3.7).Fiero85 wrote:Got BC waiver today.
Anybody know what's the deal with Minnesota?
They denied my solicitation "CRS only" style.
I'm just confused because I am at or above their 2013 75ths and it seems like some have gotten unsolicited waivers already.
What stats do you need exactly?
I really want to apply there, but I can't justify $100 on an app when 12/13 of my other top choices gladly gave me fee waivers, including several of Minny's peer schools. I may just bug them again with a "give me a fee waiver or there's no way in hell I'm applying" e-mail.
Also, BC and Maine today.

Same here. Is it bad that I never seriously considered applying to UCLA, USC, or BC, but now that I got fee waivers this week, I'm really tempted?applelover wrote:USC and Alabama today!

Re: 2013-2014 Fee Waivers Rolling In
In June , some lower-ranked schools offered fee waivers before we got the scores back. I'm sure the same will happen for October. The bottom line is that schools worth going to are going to--with the exception of ones like WUSTL where the app is already free--want a good LSAT score on file before they hand out fee waivers.lemons wrote:when do y'all think people who took the LSAT for the first time in Oct. will start getting fee waivers? I know someone from last cycle who said he started getting fee waivers from some schools a few days before the scores came out so he knew he did well but I can't tell if he was just messing with me.

Anyone heard from ND yet?
Their response to my solicitation back in September was "wait until we open the application Oct 1st" and it's been about 2 weeks past now obviously

Stupid question here but I want something clarified: when we're given a fee waiver we still need to pay the $25 report fee, right? That's going to make me trim my list a bit (before: applications everywhere! now: applications to you, and you).
What is the report, anyway?

Yes, the $25 is required regardless of fee waiver status. Honestly, I'm not sure what the $25 is for and why we need to pay it for every application, but that's the way it works

I Googled. The $25 is so LSAC can forward our transcript and LORs to the school.lastsamurai wrote:Yes, the $25 is required regardless of fee waiver status. Honestly, I'm not sure what the $25 is for and why we need to pay it for every application, but that's the way it works

LSAC also allows you to apply to four schools without paying the $25 report fee if you have the fee waiver, if that helps.Youppi! wrote:I Googled. Seriously, if anything this should be a one-time fee added to the CAS fee. Just make the damn thing 200$, assholes.Typhoon24 wrote:what a racketYouppi! wrote:I Googled. If you have the LSAC fee waiver you are given four free CAS reports in addition to the two free LSATs and SuperPrep book. As has been discussed, most schools also waive their application fee if a candidate has the LSAC fee waiver.nothingtosee wrote:If you have the school's fee waiver you get four free?BentleyLittle wrote:LSAC also allows you to apply to four schools without paying the $25 report fee if you have the fee waiver, if that helps.Youppi! wrote:I Googled.
