exciting! what did they send??
I saw the hidden NYU waiver Thursday but had not been checking regularly before that
Im out of town but hope to come home next wknd to some mail from NYU. Maybe I am old fashioned or something but getting things in the mail from the schools I am interested realllllly gets me goin'

I'm pretty sure I would too, but everything is sent to my home, and I have to wait for my dad to let me know what I got.
(gratuitous "Lovin is what I got.)

Got NYU in the mail today (got the hidden waiver earlier this week). It was so exciting to see a big envelope from NYU

.
ETA: so_fetch, the envelope had a letter and a small 10 page viewbook

No one that I know, but I could be wrong.

I'm no LSN expert, any ballpark idea of what the minimum GPA/LSAT combo would have to be for a fee waiver for CLS? Though I'll wait probably until the end of next week, I want to know whether or not it's worth waiting longer than that with my stats.

No idea. Columbia was really weird last year about fee waivers.

When did you take your LSAT? June?
Columbia is really weird, but I think your stats would have made the cut last year, if that helps.

Thanks! We'll see how it plays out this year.
Actually I took it in September 2009 a little way into my Junior Year. It seems like forever ago... probably because it was. I took some new PTs earlier this year (before I left for a volunteering Gap Yah), and they were higher but not significantly and not enough to make me go through Prep hell again.

They'll give you one if you're above both their medians. (3.68, 167)

Weird. I am above both of their medians and solicited one like a month or so ago and they basically told me to wait for CRS to see if I got one.

I solicited one one Thursday. Above one median. Will update when I hear back.

Mmm I'm getting more and more skeptical about this whole fee waiver process. It's quite mysterious. Anyways, I received an email from SC outlining the explanation on this link:
http://lawweb.usc.edu/how/jd/admissionsInformation.cfm. It seems like you, RM, will get one through CRS.
I know I'm a little late but to the person who was trying to figure out if BU is being disingenuous about merit-based fee waivers... I can confirm that BU does give those out. :/

USC is the lowest school on my application list. It feels kind of stupid to be paying for their application when everyone else is giving me one for free.

Nobody has heard from WUSTL yet, right?
I'll take my UVA and Northwestern waivers and promptly get rejected, but hey why not?

Nope. I emailed them a couple weeks ago and...silence.

THIS. As of now I'm not going to be paying for NYU and Chicago. Instead, Northwestern, USC, and GW are taking me to the bank.

Yeah, I'm getting free apps from NYU, UVA, Duke, and Michigan, but not Fordham or GW? Nuts.

Still holding out for GW. Their app won't even be open for 2 weeks

Just got email from Penn. Glad I did not go to the trouble of checking for the hidden waiver last week
Fee waiver + viewbook coming in the mail
