Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
I’ve seen someone post the same question earlier in the thread, however I was wondering in detail how do you apply for a fee waiver. Do you email fill out a form with your numbers and then submit a request…? What is the purpose of LSAC fee waiver then? I was told if you get an LSAC fee waiver that you automatically receive fee waiver to every school? Is that true?

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
The LSAC fee waiver is a need-based one, and pretty much all schools will also grant you a waiver based on that. (I kind of wish I'd applied for it before I took the LSAT, but at least it's covering the bulk of the costs.)Miracle wrote:I’ve seen someone post the same question earlier in the thread, however I was wondering in detail how do you apply for a fee waiver. This list, if I'm not mistaken, is for merit based fee waivers. Schools send them out if you do well enough on the LSAT.

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
Also, some additional fee waiver dates (forgive me if these were posted earlier in the thread, they're not on the main list yet so I didn't see):
Tulane - email (9/21/09)
Cardozo - email (9/21/09)
University of St Thomas - email (9/24/09)
UCLA - email (9/14/09)
U of Iowa - email (9/14/09)
Also, even though I can't wait to get out of here, kind of upset South Carolina didn't offer me a fee waiver. Just on principle.

They must be sending it to everyone. I got it to with no LSAT yet (the e-mail even said "good luck tomorrow") and a crap GPA.monicaggon wrote:Me too, which is a joke because I have no chance of getting in...roadkilllaw wrote:W&L via email today

W&L today also. It's nice to finally get a fee waiver from a school I actually want to go to!

Ive received about 4 Fee Waivers, which is kinda weird since I'm a 1l. It makes me laugh when a school that rejected me last year sends a fee waiver this year.

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
I'm not having any luck figuring out if I received any hidden fee waivers.
I see that others have successfully determined, for example, if they got a University of Pennsylvania hidden fee waiver. I added that school to my list on the LSAC website and clicked on Submit Application. Of course, it let me know that a bunch of fields weren't filled in on the application and thus wouldn't let me go on. How are you guys figuring out if you got a hidden fee waiver? Are you filling out these basic required fields and then clicking on Submit Application? If it's that simple I'll go ahead and do that, I just didn't want to spend time going down the road road.
Additionally, I got a fee waiver from Columbia Law via email...but it doesn't show up on LSAC. Will it just show up when I finally submit?
I'd spend some more time clicking around but the point of this forum is to get quick advise, so....

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
Why is it that with a 161 from the February LSAT and a 3.2, that the only fee waiver I've gotten is from Temple via email today? Are my numbers not good enough to get more merit based waivers?

Is there something I may have not checked that would make my scores public to law schools?

Start e-mailing schools and asking for them. You could score quite a few that way.
Also, where is my Temple fee waiver?

Make sure you're signed up for CRS and that your CRS profile is all filled out. I'm assuming it is if you got the one from Temple, but it couldn't hurt to double check.mavsman88 wrote:VoidSix wrote:There is no right answer to this question.mavsman88 wrote:Why is it that with a 161 from the February LSAT and a 3.2, that the only fee waiver I've gotten is from Temple via email today? Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
I just signed up for it about a week ago. Does that mean I missed out on my shot to get fee waivers from those schools who sent them out in July?NancyBotwin wrote:Make sure you're signed up for CRS and that your CRS profile is all filled out. more likely it means you missed out on that wave of waivers and you may get one whe the next batch is sent (probably after they get oct lsat scores)
