I mean, I'd rather it was Anthony Kennedy or Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but I have trouble passing up the opportunity to see a Supreme Court Justice live and in person.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Lol, Scalia.Yeshia90 wrote:Just got invited by Duquesne to see Justice Scalia give a speech. I saw Scalia at Drake University Law School last year. It was good. Not too political. It wasn't a recruiting event, but some people on the recruiting list got invites.freestallion wrote:Me too! Did anyone else get an unsolicited waiver from
Phoenix Law even though they don't have an LSAT score?

Yes, but when you got it the "next day", did that day happen to be Thursday when everyone got their NU fee waiver through CRS?mottainai wrote:I got that response as well, and then the next day I got an email saying that they found me through CRS and granted me a waiver. So, it doesn't necessarily mean you won't get one.Cornelius wrote:I posted this earlier today, but I'll mention it again in case anyone missed it: Northwestern's response basically said the same thing, they didn't explicitly say they don't grant them upon request, but their response to my request was only "make sure you're registered with the CRS."LawSchoolGuru wrote:I had sent one to Penn several weeks ago. Unfortunately, they don't give solicited waivers.amc987 wrote:Has anyone had luck soliciting one from Penn or Northwestern??
"Merit-based fee waivers are made available through queries to the LSAC Candidate Referral Service (CRS) database automatically and in light of using various criteria; we do not grant them following individual requests.
For merit-based fee waiver consideration, please make sure you have opted-in for LSAC's Candidate Referral Service; registered with the Credential Assembly Service; have at least one LSAT score on file; and have sent your most recent transcripts to LSAC."

Yes with "Good luck on your LSAT" as the subject. I thought it was an email from a family member at first.Opie wrote:

Just got GWU... even though they told me they don't give merit-based fee waivers. I got Northwestern by email yesterday.

Mine had a different subject, but sounds the same. Not that I'm even considering applying there, but man did that seem desperate.JDndMSW wrote:Yes with "Good luck on your LSAT" as the subject. I thought it was an email from a family member at first.Opie wrote:

I have had a lot of email from schools about the MINK law day in KC, but none mentioned a waiver.

Mid-170s, 3.X where X is a number between, let's say, 35 and 60. And I only got NYU.LaCumparsita wrote:So people who got fee waivers to NYU and Penn, what are your numbers?

It's so bizarre... first they said no and then a week later they send me an email telling me to apply and that they've waived the fee. I must be a special snowflake...Tiago Splitter wrote:Sounds like your cycle has been a success!minnbills wrote:Just got a solicited waiver from BC
I'm wondering if they just saw my post where I said BC>BU lol
