As someone applying in a cycle, these gpa increases are not very fun to look at...

I'm sure they'd be just fine for a long time, perhaps even decades, but it's eventually unsustainable. If you consistently give less money than your peer schools, you're more likely to fall in the rankings, and at some point you fall so far that bar passage/accreditation becomes an issue. It's not coincidental that 106 kids transferred out of American last year compared to 55 in 2011 and that puts a dent into the bottom line. You can bring in more transfers to plug the gap, but the worse you get, the more you have the same bar passage problem.

Of course, this is likely to occur only after the Boomer deans have retired/stopped giving a shit.

Two classmates sent out applications last year. One is now going to American (with ~20% scholarship), despite my best efforts. The other turned down Barry at near the last minute. Its terrifying how far the delusional "all you need is a JD and drive."
That's too bad. I just had a buddy go to Nebraska for sticker. Hopefully it works out for them; however, I think a lot of people just end up going because they couldn't find a decent job after college.
Except Nebraska "sticker" is like 13 grand a year lol not even close to Americans 50 grand

Yeah but they'll be in DC so it'll all work out. They're paying for DC prestige. Can't get that DC level of prestigious humidity and homelessness in Nebraska

Pessimist in me guesses his buddy is out-of-state. Which is a shame because Nebraska in-state is one of the very few places that's worth it at sticker.

Wow American is a shithole. I wonder if transfers will still have to pay back schollies.

True, in the long run they're doomed. But in terms of current decision making, the long run remains somebody else's problem (of course the long run would immediately become the short run if any limits are ever put on Grad PLUS loans).

Yeah those BC law numbers seemed to have been pulled from LSN , which are the class of 2015 numbers... someone should delete it off the doc ..

That's the second time someone has put the wrong numbers in for BC. Quit trying to be sneaky.

I have not seen medians yet, but it appears class size at William Mitchell is going up dramatically.

http://web.wmitchell.edu/news/2015/08/m ... to-campus/

For incoming fall 243 students are entering. 96 of these students are part of the hybrid program.

Keep in mind that the first hybrid class (85 students) started in January and are not included in last year's 509. So, assuming that they will be added to this year's 509, it will bring the total to 328 compared to 169 for last year.

Despite the large increase, it seems that the number of students in the traditional full time and part time programs have dropped slightly to 147, although I suspect that some of those students who were considering the traditional part time program may have opted to go for the hybrid option instead.

Who would even do this? Their admissions office? So strange.

Yeah I think I heard rumblings of them having to sign agreements when accepting scholarships that they will not transfer, and if so, would be on the hook for the $$$ or something to that effect.
