I don't understand why someone would lie about their stats. Just don't create a profile if you don't want to publish your stats.Kretzy wrote:Me too, same name, accurate stats.
I know! It's like, the only reason I created a profile was to show off my stats, without those on there, the whole thing would just be, you know, pointless.mizzoutigers88 wrote:I don't understand why someone would lie about their stats. Eh, I completely understand why someone would want to fudge them, I just didn't. Just a personal choice, methinks.mizzoutigers88 wrote:I don't understand why someone would lie about their stats. Could you elaborate? I'm honestly curious about the advantage to fudging stats on LSN.Kretzy wrote:Eh, I completely understand why someone would want to fudge them, I just didn't. if you're afraid of ED school finding out where else you're applying to, if you've got singular stats and are afraid that adcom can pinpoint you, if you actually think adcom spend more time on LSN than doing their job. everything that you put on there though is under your control, so [don't be stupid]mizzoutigers88 wrote: Could you elaborate? You don't want to be identifiable. If I got into my first choice, I would immediately put the correct stats up.mizzoutigers88 wrote: Could you elaborate? I'm honestly curious about the advantage to fudging stats on LSN.

but yeah, i do think that having real numbers and softs up once one's cycle is over is good practice - paying it forward.
