Im an idiot but how do you run searches through applications by school?

that's what 02889 and i are asking, but it seems as though that feature might have been deleted.

Anyone else think it's time for a new entry into the field? It's not really that hard to make a website that points to a MySQL database and graphs some dots on a chart.

I went to the site a little while back and had no idea about the reboot. Needless to say, I was shocked. What am I supposed to use now to stalk other applicants all day long and see who has gotten accepted/dinged/WL?!

I never ran it, just loved using it during my cycle and wanted to make it better.

Last I talked to one of the original people (Anthony Ciolli), somebody bought him out. I think that somebody bought out Jared Cohen too.

It's possible to do, yes.

Only concern is users from the current cycle would probably have to create new accounts in order to be able to update them. if you just ported over all the current accounts and people made new ones, that could skew the accuracy of the data. wrt past cycles, seems like data mining wouldn't be an issue

But hopefully this is all premature. I'm sure LSN will get its shit together soon

Yeah. The second issue would be adoption by users. But if LSN does not become faster, that might not be a very high hurdle.

I do hope they simply work the kinks out.

On the bright side, speed seems to have recovered.

This has happened to countless websites in the past. They have a functional but ugly site, they become convinced that they NEED to have a snazzy web 2.0 page and they fuck up all the functionality in the process. Hopefully LSN can recover before they lose all their users a la Digg 4.
