As for the post asking about why Harvard over Yale, for me it's because I have ties in Boston.

I simply cannot understand the reasoning of the people who have any school ranked above all three of HYS. You guys do know that after law school, you have to have a career, right? And that you only have to stay in the area a combined two to three years?

Weird list, I know. There are tons of schools that I would choose over L&C, except my wife wants nothing more than to move to Portland and buy a house. She's already done the work to get her post-grad. I'm just finishing my BS. If I don't get into the top 20 or UW, I'm probably gonna be stuck going there. Which isn't so bad because its in a pretty beautiful spot, and has good employment prospects for Portland.

UCLA
Cornell
USC
Why? Because two out of three of them gave me fee waivers and both UCLA and Cornell have a focus on public interest. I don't know about USC yet.
Also, with my numbers, I really can't start dreaming too much about this T20 thing.

Here's my inflammatory (to some) list. I'm a Chicago area resident that has been in the working world for 15+ years so I have certain experiences that have created my preferences in descending order. (bias)

Re: What is your Personal T20?
Yeah I made my list more based on where I would like to attend, not necessarily prospects. I was born and raised in CA and I really dislike it there. If I had the #s to get into Stanford, though, I would go. But I don't. BTW I have a friend practicing in Portland, and he says that 75% of the people he interacts with on a daily basis graduated from L&C or Willamette. Apparently its a pretty local market. But thats anecdotal, and I'm sure a school ranked in the top 20 or so would beat out L&C at most jobs.
