So far I have solicited received positive responses from Lewis and Clark, Tulane, and Notre Dame for AmeriCorps alum waivers. I also have received and good deal of no's.

Same, my email from UCLA also mentioned this scholarship. Numbers in profile.sea15 wrote:Mine mentioned deans scholarship or something like that. Numbers in profile
Got an email this morning from Michigan state w/ fee waiver and notification that I am "a very strong candidate for a full-tuition scholarship award"
About Dayton -- yeah the one I got is not a waiver. Its an invitation to an informational law school event in October.

Got an email from ONU, but didn't feel like scrolling down to see what school that was. What's ONU?

Thank you for that. Glad I didn't waste any effort typing it in to Google to find out we're dealing with Ohio Northern University.Hopefully2012 wrote:http://lmgtfy.com/?q=onu

Has anyone received or successfully solicited a waiver from Texas? I'm really ready to start getting apps sent off and they are one of my last holdouts for the schools I plan on applying to.

I tried soliciting, and here was the response...
UTA Admissions wrote:Thank you for your interest in The University of Texas School of Law. UT Law does not offer merit-based fee waivers. Our application fee waiver may be granted to an applicant who can establish documented economic need. To be considered for the fee waiver, you need to have the JD application and the Fee Waiver application in by November 1. You do not have to apply for the Early Decision November 1 deadline; you can mark Regular Decision on the application form. But, do not apply electronically through the LSAC if you are asking us for an application fee waiver since you will be required to pay with a credit card and we do not issue refunds. You can access both the JD application and Fee Waiver application forms through the Admissions link at http://utdirect.utexas.edu/loadm/areq.WBX?page_switch=1.

Looks like the LSAC application interface has changed a bit for this cycle and I can't figure out how to get to the point where you see the hidden fee waiver. Anyone figure it out?

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
You have to complete your application, preview the pdf on the "Active" applications page and then when you submit, you'll see whether or not you've received a hidden fee waiver.phx wrote:Looks like the LSAC application interface has changed a bit for this cycle and I can't figure out how to get to the point where you see the hidden fee waiver. I sent them an email with my basic information (numbers, etc) and they emailed me back a fee waiver. I believe others here got the same result.BigBlueLaw wrote:Did anyone successfully solicite a waiver from Michigan? They responded to me by basically asking for a mini-app (school, major, etc.). Thanks to you both. IDK why they want the extra info, but I guess I'll just send it in.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
I got my waiver about a week ago - I wonder if they're doing that to everyone now. Once it becomes common knowledge here that a school is granting fee waivers by request, they probably get a deluge of emails. Perhaps they decided they needed some kind of procedure, or just wanted to slow the deluge by forcing people to work for the waiver.BigBlueLaw wrote:Thanks to you both. Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
Most schools I've asked about this say they do a CRS search approximately once a month to pick up new fee waiver candidates.gogogadgetlaw wrote:Also, if I registered late for CRS (a week ago) will I get fee waivers that were sent out before I registered or did I miss my shot? Finally, how long should I wait for waivers to trickle in before soliciting? I'd love waivers for any of the UC schools or USC.
You can solicit once the first round comes out. I can't think of a reason not to. I got a response from USC saying that you have be above both their medians for a fee waiver or be a USC UG student... They be mad hatin' on splitters.

NYU fee waived. That makes me feel quite good. No such luck from CLS or Penn.
