Do many of these fee waivers depend on you having your GPA as well? I received a Columbia waiver without it, but nothing else much

Ive solicited UVA and Georgetown and recieved fee waivers already. Cornell said wait for CRS, Michigan said I should be waived via CRS but if im not to hit them up and they'd give a waiver, and duke didnt reply yet.

With October score

I tried to solicit Duke a few weeks back and got the standard CRS response about the next round of scores.

Minnesota with multiple today alone.

I got a "please apply" letter from Minnesota today, no waiver but them emailing me at all is weird enough.

I sent out emails last night and successfully solicited 6 so far this morning (was a Sept taker, and was in TFA):
Minnesota
UVA
GWU
Vanderbilt
UMich
Chicago

I also applied for UPenn's awhile back, and received that as well.

*edited to clarify UPenn

Yea, UPenn. I filled out a form they had that was for those who had some sort of 'service experience' (in my case, TFA) and got the code the next day.

Updated-

I sent out emails last night and successfully solicited 8 so far this morning (was a Sept taker, and was in TFA):
Minnesota
UVA
GWU
Vanderbilt
UMich
Chicago
Georgetown
UCLA

I also applied for UPenn's awhile back, and received that as well.

Chicago, UMich, and UPenn's explicitly stated they were being granted due to my TFA experience. The rest did not, but I would say with the exception of Minnesota and GWU, they were likely granted because of TFA (not my LSAT/GPA).

Figured I'll post mine finally, after june LSAT, all solicited in late July/August (This was before I pared down my list, so kinda all over the place)...sorry if there are repeats:

Wake Forest (Told me to ask again 9/15, granted)
BC (Told me to ask again 9/30, granted)
FSU (Told me to ask 9/1, granted)
^These three basically told me they weren't granting waivers until their apps opened
UNC
U. Houston (asked me to fill out a need based form, granted by Director of Admissions an hour later without even filling out form)
Temple
SMU

When soliciting do you guys just email the admissions dept or call or what?

I haven't gotten any waivers yet (3.1 and 171). Is it because of my GPA? I'm a September taker.

Basically saying the same thing:

Hi Office X,

My name is Y
My GPA is: 4.0
My LSAT is: 180
My LSAC Number is: L12345678

I was wondering if you offer merit-based fee waivers. If so, I was wondering if I qualified.

Thanks,
Y

Please note that was my verbatim emails sent to schools .

Just got shot down by Chicago so so quickly.

Tbf it does say on their website that they don't do individual waivers, but I'm sure I saw someone solicit successfully somewhere.

I did, but it was solely because of TFA.

Chicago sent the rudest email of all the schools I solicited. It was extremely terse (get over yourselves chicago)

I'm not too bitter. I imagine they get a lot of these e-mails, easiest to just copy and paste a link to the website. They know we'll probs apply anyway
