The gaps between Penn and NYU; Duke and NU; Columbia and S; and GULC and UT may be interesting to seeMal Reynolds wrote:If NYU got a 92 instead of a 93 like last year this WOULD CHANGE EVERYTHINGWhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote:Could someone please post the raw scores?

I'm looking at the raw scores and they are indeed interesting. They tell a compelling story. When I saw Michigan's number, my jaw nearly hit the floor. And when I compared SLS's number to HLS, it became clear that we're now in a "YH" world. The second subtier will soon be SCC. In fact, we may already be there.WhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote:The gaps between Penn and NYU; Duke and NU; Columbia and S; and GULC and UT may be interesting to seeMal Reynolds wrote:If NYU got a 92 instead of a 93 like last year this WOULD CHANGE EVERYTHINGWhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote:Could someone please post the raw scores?

Let's just say that the SLS dean is probably on the phone right now with the W&L dean, trading tips about how to stay afloat while in crisis mode.patogordo wrote:give us the raw number: how many inches off the floor was your jaw after you saw the SLS stats

I think we hear you. The rankings don't and shouldn't matter much.
But inasmuch as we do care about the rankings, we should care about the raw scores behind them.

Not unless you have the breakdown between points earned by real things that matter (jerbs) and the rest (library seats)WhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote:I think we hear you. The rankings don't and shouldn't matter much.

You are going to make an amazing law student. Having the ability to see that shit doesn't matter, but then care about it anyway is what separates the good from the great law students.WhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote:I think we hear you. The rankings don't and shouldn't matter much.

There are plenty of things in life that don't matter and yet people still analyze and are interested in those things. I think we get the point that the rankings don't matter. But if someone is curious about the raw scores what's wrong with that?

For the first time since 2004, the unicorn is ranked behind the centaur in the mythical creature rankings.
