You can apply to UVA ED and then ED elsewhere if waitlisted or dinged. Or vice versa, though it usually happens UVA-first since its fast turnaround makes it attractive for those looking to get the cycle over with as quickly as possible. Tons of people do this. One of the spreadsheets floating around mentions which schools allow multiple EDs and which don't (NU and I think CCN are notable schools that don't allow it). UVA, Mich, Penn, etc. do. I just tried to solicit a waiver from the only public LS in my state. I am well over both 75% marks. They emailed me back asking for all sorts of extra info. I'm not sure if I want to respond back, seeing as I will never attend.

Meh, don't bother. Save your $21 for the CAS report and invest in booze.

How many are repeats for you? I haven't received any new ones although I just checked my spam folder and counted at least 5 from the past day or so. (I'm asking because I only have an LSAT score on CAS and so I wonder how many of these TTT schools don't send me anything simply because my GPA isn't listed yet.)

which is strange because their employment data suggests the school belongs closer to the dumpster and they offer absolutely no scholarship at all for $40k/yr.... they don't even do what many other state-schools do (like Georgia) which gives mostly scholarship only in the form of "in-state tuition waivers" (~$50k) so OOSers pay in-state fees.

UWash doesn't even present the illusion of being generous with aid, even with fee waivers. The only fee waivers they grant are those obligated by LSAC.

This all is insane given they only have 96/182 in "full-time, long term" employment... a very generous inclusion of jobs, especially when only 14% get either "biglaw" (also generously defined as 100+) or federal clerkships. 45% of graduates were either unemployed, employed with government/public jobs unlikely to be good, in solo practice or graduate school/school-funded positions.

Seems to me that school is among the largest rankings scammers out there, aside from perhaps arizona state. I can't imagine why anyone would consider that school under any circumstances (even in-state is $30k/yr). They give no fee waivers, no aid, have bad employment prospects and charge outrageous tuition.

tl;dr in my probably uninformed opinion, UWash comes off as a bigger scam than most T1 schools.

FWIW going to UW has worked out very, very well for me. Thank god I didn't choose one of the significantly more expensive similarly ranked options I had. Two other things to consider: 1) the classes of 2010-2011 (and to a lesser extent 2012) were royally screwed by the economy and for some reason the Pacific Northwest legal market seemed to have been hit particularly hard, 2) given the loose definitions of the employment categories 53% full time, bar passage required does not necessarily prove employment outcomes were significantly worse than at the many similarly or more highly ranked schools reporting 60-70%. For example I know several people who have jobs that fit in to the "other professional" or "JD advantage" categories, who have very good jobs that they wanted, and with a class of only 170, a few people make a big difference in the statistics. Also, things seem to have improved for the class of 2011 since that data was reported to the ABA. http://www.law.washington.edu/Career/em ... stats.aspx

In any case, I firmly believe that UW is a very good school, by far the best in the Northwest. There is no way someone who wants to practice in the NW should consider any other non T-14 if UW is an option, especially if they are a Washington resident. And I from what I can tell things look pretty good for myself and most of the rest of the class of 2013. The biglaw/federal clerkship percentage will certainly be way up for our class relative to the class of 2011.

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but how reliable are the statistics for the Class of 2015, specifically in the T-14? I'm surprised NYU's 25th percentile GPA would've dropped almost .1 of a point in one year. Should I take these numbers with a grain of salt, or what?

I believe the statistics are pretty accurate.
