This is my fifth I'll be making use of - those three (no PT at Duke though :( ), W&M, and Minnesota.

It was a while ago I think. You guys should just email them in late September. Fee waivers are like the one thing I don't trip out about :P. It's still waaaay early, relax people :). If you still haven't got a fee waiver by say...Sept. 15th then I would email them, but not really any sooner.

I haven't gotten Georgetown. Has anyone gotten one from GT by requesting it through email?

Stoked about UVA. Was surprised I got it, given my numbers. #1 choice too for law school. Non-resident. I didn't ask for a fee waiver either - I was about to until I opened up my email today.

3.88/161. Will be making use of this one and W&M so far.

Yep, I requested a renewal (I got it last year but didn't apply) and they sent one within a week.
I didn't think about possibly waiting until apps go live or about sounding anal by asking so early.
My logic was that I didn't want to bother them when they were being flooded with emails and phone calls about everything.

Oh yea, so far I've gotton: Georgetown, Virginia, Duke PT/waiver. I need to get more though, my ass is so broke.

Well, just got a response from Duke to my fee waiver request. Apparently they only issue fee waivers through CRS searches, and their next search will be in a few weeks. So hopefully I'll qualify for a waiver in their next search...

It'd be funny if LSAC's programming is sloppy and UVA pays you $160 to apply.

What #'s are you going with for the ED? I've always considered it...

Hmmm... I'm 169/3.61/resident but didn't get a waiver. I wonder what else they look at?

I'm getting a lot of "we do not grant fee waivers unless you have a fee waiver from LSAC." for replies for waiver request.

Anyone else get this?

I haven't sent anything to schools that haven't already sent out waves of waivers through CRS, but I know that YHS, Boalt, and I think UChicago don't give out merit-based waivers.
add GW to that list.

Would it be absolutely fruitless to ask for one from Davis/Hastings? I've heard that Davis supposedly doesn't give out merit-based waivers anymore, though I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same with Hastings, given how broke CA is.. :(

I wouldn't. For a normal person, it's a nice gesture, but for a secretary who handles hundreds of incoming emails...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
