Re: Unsolicited Fee Waivers 2017
How many days after the December LSAT score releases does it usually take universities to grant merit-based waiver through CRS? All my applications are ready to be submitted and I'm just waiting to see if any university grants me a fee waiver.

It varies depending on the school.Nayanthika wrote:How many days after the December LSAT score releases does it usually take universities to grant merit-based waiver through CRS? All my applications are ready to be submitted and I'm just waiting to see if any university grants me a fee waiver.

You may find the Fee Waivers thread helpful for this question. I got my September score on October 19th and posted my fee waivers as they came in.Nayanthika wrote:How many days after the December LSAT score releases does it usually take universities to grant merit-based waiver through CRS? I got Emory and UNC today. With a fresh 168, I'm hoping to maybe see Cornell/Chi/NYU soon. Received Duke/Mich/Penn after my 164 Sept, and successfully solicited UVA after Sept.

Nice! No love from Emory here, but hoping to hear from Duke and Cornell, among others.

Also, I haven't gotten an email from them yet, but I just noticed that Michigan has been waived for me. Must have happened quite recently - I checked just a few hours ago and there was nothing then.

Successfully solicited from Vanderbilt. Georgetown said no fee waiver
Other schools that I emailed which said only CRS based: UPenn, NYU, Columbia.
Yet to hear back from: UT at Austin, Michigan.
My stats are 167/Superior GPA (international applicant)
Is there any point in hoping for a reprieve on the fee front from these schools through CRS?

Got Columbia a few weeks ago and Chicago yesterday. Does anyone know if these waivers will last until next fall when I apply?

You might get need based from Upenn. Last three years, they have taken 0 internationals (ones without a US UGPA).Nayanthika wrote:Successfully solicited from Vanderbilt. Georgetown said no fee waiver

UT doesn't give merit based solicited waivers. I got a need based waiver from Michigan. Didn't get it at 167. Assume you won't get it too.
