No one really knows how US News factors employment stats into the rankings but I don't think biglaw+clerkship has much to do with it.

LOL. Do you think law firms actually pay attention to these medians?
That's not my point. Boalt has more students entering this year - aka probably worse biglaw/clerkship placement coming for Class of 2018. I mean that's why Cornell has decent placement rates, right, because its class size is like 180......
I would not worry too much about Boalt--they will be fine. And you should not be comparing this years class size to last years; you should be comparing it to the class of 2014, because that is the last year for which we have employment data.

On this point, it should be noted that although Michigan had relatively poor placement for 2014, the class size is now about 100 people smaller. UVA, though fairing signifantly better, also cut its class size signicantly as well. Both schools should see significant improvement.

GULC, however, is a cause for concern. They have neither the wealth of UVA and Michigan, nor the reputation that schools like Michigan, UVA, Penn, and Bolat carry among legal employers. They have little, if any, ability to make improvement. Only outside forces can save them.

As of now, it is has nothing to do with it (at least not directly)

Well whatever, the same logic applies to general employment percentages - in general, the more students, the lower the employment percentage

But yes, I agree with the above. GULC is probably screwed because it has no money and can't afford to cut its size

Is ND the only top school to raise its LSAT median so far? That's pretty impressive, a 164 median in this admissions climate isn't easy to achieve.

nope, Duke too
Duke held, didn't raise (c/o '17 was 169, c/o '18 is also 169).

Has any school, ranked in the top 25 of USNR, increased their median LSAT score?

Emory?? They employ like 20% of their class.
In the sense that they provide stipends for graduates who haven't gotten paying jobs yet. It's not like 20% of the class is working at the school's clinics and library.

It used to be 18 foreign countries, now it's 15. So three internationals bailed last second.
