just over a week left to go....i'm kind of sad to be leaving, though. i don't get paid worth shit but the people i work with are really cool. it will be nice to have a little hiatus and get all of my things in order before packing up and driving to tulane

I literally stay up till 2 or 3 am and then wake up 15 minutes before I have to be at work. I space out most of the day and generally day dream about LS.

Depends. I gave four weeks and was really nice to everyone. They offered to hook me up with summer employment or discuss this possibility with their lawyers if I prefer.

If you hate your current employer, you can pretty much just walk out. If you need/want them for references, be nice, give notice, and try to finish up all of your work before you go.

By the way, less than 5 days to go!

the "proper" way to quit your job is to schedule a meeting with your immediate supervisor in private, tell them your intentions and give them a letter of resignation. etiquette demands 2 weeks notice.

at that point, a number of things can happen:

A) go clear your desk (the harsh way, but it happens at some places)

B) hmm so what will it take to stay? 25% raise?

C) ok. you will have to hand-off your stuff to X,Y,Z. (the typical)
