Is GULC median LSAT really 165? Are Boalt and GULC going to drop then based on employment stats/numbers combo? (of course this may not show up for a couple of years since USNews lags)

We have no confirmation on the 165, and I seriously doubt they'd drop 2 points.

LOL. Do you think law firms actually pay attention to these medians?

Yeah there are way too many T14-desperate folks with 166 out there for GULC to drop to 165.

I had some contact from Savannah last cycle, and I have to say, they were probably the most polite, informational, and supportive group in all of their communication -- and exceedingly good at selling their school. Certainly not enough to entice an application, but its pretty understandable why they would be able to enroll some students so far above their medians.
Give me your best pitch for $40k/yr for 1% (!) BL/FC.

I'll wait.

Like I said, it wasn't enticing to me. I'm only commenting they had a great outreach, far better than I saw from any other school, and can understand why a low information applicant, even one with a 170, might choose to go.

Columbia's class size is 389 (+8)

Still waiting on the rest of the data, though.

Lol I didn't say it's atypical but how does a school such as Notre Dame let someone in who scored in the 21st percentile with a strait face?
UT admitted someone with a 128. A school can do whatever it wants with the bottom 24.9% of its class consequence-free.

I'm pretty sure that was a huge scandal a few years ago. UT took a lot of flak because a lot of the super low scorers were politically connected. There were a few stories in the papers criticizing UT for it.

That's not my point. Boalt has more students entering this year - aka probably worse biglaw/clerkship placement coming for Class of 2018. I mean that's why Cornell has decent placement rates, right, because its class size is like 180......

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
