If I didn't know any better, I'd think these rankings were based on an arbitrary valuation system that varies from year to year based on statistical noise.

A full two thirds (33/51) of schools in the top 50 are involved in some sort of tie.

And yet there it is. THE University of Texas School of Law. Aka the Big Dog. Standing alone. Right there. On the cusp of the T14. Waiting for Michigan and GULCs final death spiral.

I thought you were mocking someone for their interest in a lower-ranked school. I was already inclined to think you were a dick because, in another thread, you mocked the English usage of a non-native speaker. Aren't the Penn State campuses finally separate? Does USNWR keep them together still or has State College fallen off the Top 100 completely?

As a Wake ForesTTT student, hopefully not much.

Yeah I mean I'm figuring for transfer admissions, schools that took from Wake before aren't going to look at Wake students differently this year for instance.

Aren't the Penn State campuses finally separate? Does USNWR keep them together still or has State College fallen off the Top 100 completely?

It looks like based on their 509 and ranking that they're still together on paper, but dropped from 51 to 71. Next year looks to be the first where they're completely separate. I'm curious to see how they'd rank separate; Dickinson has the history and is closer to a job market, but State College has more institutional backing and the "Penn State" name.
