I feel like a lot of schools have been inconsistent with their apparent number cut-offs for these waivers. Maybe some are actually getting lost in the process. I wonder if having the school on your LSAC schools list can be a variable in their decisions.examplepdf wrote:I just got Vandy an hour ago too. That, plus the fact that it has been horribly freezing where I live this week, means I will probably apply.
Also--don't read into Penn's waiver system. I got above a 171 and didn't get one.

I wonder this too. Or if you have a certain amount of other schools they have on some 'list...' like too many schools of higher ranking or something.cubswin wrote:I feel like a lot of schools have been inconsistent with their apparent number cut-offs for these waivers. Re: Post December LSAT Fee Waivers
I seriously doubt there is any way that schools giving out waivers through CRS have any sort of access to your Schools List.
The LSAC claims
Maybe Vandy/Penn waivers were not received because you did not include their respective states in your interested states?
The LSAC claims
(Mentioned law school preferences may be found on your CRS page- accessible by clicking "My Account" -> "CRS Registration" top right, pinkish box -> scroll to the bottom)Through CRS, law schools may recruit potential applicants on the basis of specific characteristics, such as LSAT score, GPA, age, citizenship, race/ethnicity, or geographic location. When you register for CRS, you authorize LSAC to share with law schools and related organizations your name, mailing and e-mail addresses, telephone number, and SSN/SIN number; biographical, academic, and employment information; and information you have provided about your law school preferences.

Same here for Penn, although I didn't get one from Vandy and didn't check Tennessee. With a 178 in December, either they just missed me in the e-mail blast or are shooting only for a specific LSAT range.WhiskeyGuy wrote:I received one from Vandy and am pretty sure I didn't check out Tennessee.eshort wrote:I seriously doubt there is any way that schools giving out waivers through CRS have any sort of access to your Schools List.

Oh, then I need to check for a hidden! I sent them a follow-up for a need waiver, but they haven't re-responded still. Cmon, Corny!BenJ wrote:I got one last week. They didn't give me a hidden one either. Sort of odd, I am at or above their 75th for both.

Just one more reason why I don't want to go to Cornell.

U Michigan through snail mail last night...why?! I just checked to make sure I didn't miss a fee waiver through email, and I definitely didn't. It just seems less efficient.

Haha. That's random! Did you have a hidden fee waiver before you received the snail mail?wakefield wrote:U Michigan through snail mail last night...why?! I just checked to make sure I didn't miss a fee waiver through email, and I definitely didn't. It just seems less efficient.

I don't think so, unless it happened in the past couple weeks. I may apply now, since it's just $12 and they did send me that lovely 82651 page brochure.

Hmmmmm. My lowly 3.5 must have missed their GPA cut-off. Damn you Michigan, and your standards of excellence.wakefield wrote:U Michigan through snail mail last night...why?! I just checked to make sure I didn't miss a fee waiver through email, and I definitely didn't. It just seems less efficient.
EDIT: I'm also kind of irrationally disappointed that I haven't received any waivers through snail mail. The only thing close I got was a card from Baylor, but that app is free anyway.

Re: Post December LSAT Fee Waivers
Here's a list of the schools that probably offered me fee waivers. I say probably because I don't plan to apply to most of these schools, and for that reason don't care if they've offered me a fee waiver. I put the ones in the T14 first, everything else follows. First official post, BTW
