Aha! Yep, the status checker says withdrawn. Thanks!Aeon wrote:Some schools respond, whereas others simply update your status checker. If you don't hear back within a couple days, I'd follow up with the school via a phone call.BaiAilian2013 wrote:I have a related question... when you withdraw from a school before they accept or reject you, should you expect a response? I want to make sure I'm actually withdrawn.

Re: Writing Withdrawal Letters
Huh? I don't think you can withdraw from somewhere that has already rejected you... Unless you're accepted, W/L, or still pending, there's nothing to withdraw from.bowie8285 wrote:is it necessary to send a withdrawal letter to schools that have rejected you? (for people that have been accepted ED)
We should start a "Where did you withdraw from today?" thread so people can see where spots have opened up and take heart!

Haha, while the above seems a bit extreme, I was always under the impression that short and sweet is the best.Golgothan wrote:I plan on the following,
Dear _______,
I respectfully decline your offer of admission.
Sincerely,
Golgothan.
I bet that admissions people prefer that over anything else.
Maybe:
Dear_____,
"While I appreciate the opportunity to apply to XXX law school, I would like to withdraw my application to your law school for the XXXX admissions cycle". My LSAC number is: ********
Sincerely,

Re: Writing Withdrawal Letters
Should you write your letter differently if you are retaking the LSAT and want to apply again for next cycle?

Even though I'm not attending these schools, I still think it's important to be professional and grateful for the opportunities offered. The sample letters were really helpful, thanks!
