Yerp. It's not a function of age, necessarily, but life experience. I'll be 30 when I start, and I don't know how well I could relate to someone still in the undergrad mindset. I'm not saying that they're bad people; it's a stage of life and all, and I was certainly there once too. My take as someone in their "gasp" 30's... if you graduate law school at 21 because you wanted to be an f-in' all-star attorney and you put your money where your mouth is, then I'll be happy to grab drinks with you after any one of our 16-hour days in the office. But if all you talk about at the bar is studying for the LSAT, your time at (Insert T14/TTT/ITT Tech) Law, and your casework, well...
That said, plenty of people do the K-JD thing successfully, so to each their own.
